Everything on the list

If it needs putting up securely, ask

Coat hooks, towel rails, house numbers, child safety gates, cat and dog flaps, shed repairs, cameras and video doorbells, wall-mounted storage, bathroom fittings, anything that came with fixings not up to the wall. The jobs that are too small to be worth anyone else turning up for, done in one visit.

What it costs

A fixed price, agreed before we start

These are the jobs where bundling matters most. One coat hook is a call-out. A coat hook, a towel rail, a safety gate and a house number is a visit that pays for itself.

Send the list however it comes, photos or just words. You get one fixed price for the whole lot before anyone turns up.

Cat and dog flaps

All of these are jobs we have actually done. No stock photographs.

Shed repairs

Rotten shed floor boards along the base of a wall, soft and broken where water had sat
Where it started. The boards along the side wall had rotted through where rain had been sitting against them.

New pale timber boards let into the old shed floor
New boards let into the old floor and screwed down.
The side of an orange shed raised on black plastic spacers along a concrete path
The shed lifted onto plastic spacers, so air gets underneath and the floor stays dry.

Cameras and video doorbells

Worth knowing

Things people ask for

✓ All of this counts

  • Coat hooks, towel rails, toilet roll holders, house numbers
  • Child safety gates fitted properly at the top and bottom of stairs
  • Cat and dog flaps cut into uPVC, plywood or wooden doors, including microchip flaps set up and tested
  • Shed repairs: rotten floor boards replaced, new felt, boards or doors, and sheds lifted onto spacers so the floor stays dry
  • Cameras and video doorbells, battery or plug-in, fitted, connected to your phone and tested before we leave
  • Wall-mounted storage, shelf units and racking
  • Bathroom fittings, mirrors and racking, including where the fixings supplied are not up to the wall

! Still the same rules

  • Every fixing matched to the wall behind it, which is the whole job on plasterboard
  • A safety gate is only as good as its fixing, so we do not use pressure fittings at the top of stairs
  • Anything electrical, notifiable or structural goes to the right trade and we say so
  • Pet flaps go into door panels, not glass. A glass unit has to be ordered with the hole already made in it
  • Sheds are repaired or built on the base that is already there. We do not dig or lay new bases
  • Cameras run on battery or plug into a socket. Anything that needs new wiring goes to an electrician
  • If a job turns out bigger than the photo suggested, we stop and tell you before carrying on

If the job turns out to be different from the photos, we stop, tell you plainly what we have found, and you don't pay for work we haven't done.
